Who We Are.

In 1996 America's Service Line (ASL) was founded by American Foods Group (AFG) as their private fleet to provide better, more cost-effective service to their customers.

Our early growth was from an all Owner Operator fleet, starting with one tractor and two trailers. The office began with a card table, two chairs, and two telephones inside the Acme Street meat plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

By 1998, ASL moved to its own office space just down the street from its current location. The fleet had rapidly grown to 50 tractors and 65 trailers. Also, that year, ASL opened its first fleet maintenance shop. The 1,100 sq ft shop could only fit one tractor inside, and trailer maintenance was outside. 

In 2006, ASL relocated to its current location on Elizabeth Street, which includes a 25-acre drop lot, a 12,000 sq ft 8-bay shop, and a 9,000 sq ft office space including a driver's lounge, showers, and laundry. One year later, we began to add to our previously all Owner-Operator fleet by purchasing company trucks and hiring company drivers.

November of 2019 made a big year for ASL as we acquired Midwest Express, a family-owned fleet of 50 trucks based in Grand Island, Nebraska. By December of 2020, we completed a 4,000 sq ft office expansion and renovation, including upgraded driver amenities. We aimed toward enhancing the driver experience when at the terminal to feel like a home away from home. 

Today, ASL continues to be a family-owned transportation company with over 200 trucks and 350 trailers. Together with Midwest Express, we work to serve AFG and other customers.  We take great pride in the culture we have developed, valuing you, our employees, and owner-operators and treating everyone like family.
